Jaipur, the “Pink City”, is in the heart of India’s most flamboyant state of Rajasthan. The vibrant colors of the city are found in patterned clothing, ornate jewelry , and glittering artifacts on shop windows. A thrilling Rickshaw ride through this city can take you past grand forts and palaces, like the renowned City Palace pictured here. While painting this jacket, I was once again whisked to the narrow streets of Jaipur which evokes memories of a bygone era of Rajputs and royalty.
